We’re Recruiting new Climate Commissioners!
Norwich Climate Commission was launched in 2021 as part of the Norwich 2040 City Vision, to support the city and its citizens on the journey to net-zero carbon and adapting to our changing climate.
Now in 2025, we are again recruiting new volunteer commissioners to join our ranks.

Norwich Climate Commission plays an important role in guiding citywide action on climate mitigation and adaptation, both as an independent critical friend and trusted adviser to the council, and as a project collaborator across the city. The commission firmly believes that if everyone pulls together and plays their part, the goals of dramatically reducing carbon dioxide emissions, reducing waste, protecting biodiversity, improving air quality, creating green jobs and moving towards a circular economy can be achieved. Everyone who uses the city will benefit as a result.
